Vijayashanti, the Congress leader and chief coordinator of the party’s campaign committee, made key comments on the Telangana election results. The actress turned politician stated that she does not know about the political future of BRS party, but judging by the results of the survey, she can say that the political journey of BRS will end. Vijayashanthi added, let’s wait till December 3 for better days to come to Telangana and victory of the Congress Party.
Vijayashanti, who was in the BJP until the Telangana Legislative Assembly election schedule was released and received the notifications, later joined the Congress. Soon after joining the party, the Congress general secretary KC Venugopal appointed Vijayashanti as the Chief Coordinator of the Campaign and Planning Committee.
Vijayshanti, was a big star in South Indian Film Industry when she started her political career with Bharatiya Janata Party- BJP in 1997. She quit the party and joined TRS- Telangana Rashtra Samithi during its fight for a separate Telangana. She was elected to the Lok Sabha in the year 2009.
