Vikram, Major, Prithviraj Collections: Three films- Vikram, Major and Samrat Prithviraj were released on the same day – 3rd June. Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahad Faasil starrer action thriller drama Vikram has crossed Rs 90 crore in its first two days, which is a record because it was a non-holiday weekend .
On the otherside, Major starring Adivi Sesh, with Prakash Raj and Revathi earned Rs 25.4 crore and its Hindi version earned Rs 2.62 Cr at the box office of India, but Akshay Kumar starrer Samrat Prithviraj, the big budget drama (Rs 300 Cr budget) which was funded by Yash Raj Films and Akshay Kumar earned Rs 23 cr.
Major is all about the Mumbai terror attacks martyr, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Adivi Sesh played the role of Major and the movie was helmed by Sashi Kiran Tikka.
