Supreme Court expressed its anger over the CBI investigation in the Vivekananda Reddy murder case. The bench directed to change the investigating officer. The Supreme Court bench found that there was no progress in the status report. Tulasamma, wife of Sivashankar Reddy, who is A-5 accused in this murder case, filed a petition. Tulsamma requested in the petition that the investigation is not going fast and the investigating officer should be changed. When SC heard last Monday, the bench directed the CBI to submit a report in a sealed cover on the progress of the investigation.
It is known that a report has been filed on the progress of CBI investigation and precedents. Additional Solicitor General Natarajan, representing the CBI, told the Supreme Court last week that the investigating officer is conducting the investigation properly. During the arguments last Monday, the Supreme Court questioned t CBI as to why it is not completing the investigation of Viveka’s murder case. She asked why the investigating officer was delaying the investigation. It asked why another investigating officer should not be appointed if the investigation could not be concluded quickly. These instructions have been given recently.
