We strongly condemn AP government’s move to remove Anganwadi workers

AP has been seeing intense protests from the Anganwadi workers for the past few weeks. Anganwadi workers have been fighting for demands and they are not showing any sign of taking back step in fighting for demands. AP government is said to have taken a big decision. The government gave orders for sacking the workers who were not leaving the protests.  The Orders were given to the concerned district collectors to remove the workers.

Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy has issued instructions to Collectors of all districts and according to these orders, Collectors are taking steps to remove Anganwadi workers who are protesting from their duties. Arrangements are being made to send termination letters to Anganwadi workers. TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu responded to this.  He made it clear that he  strongly condemn the government’s action of removing Anganwadis.

He said  that it is outrageous that the government is taking retaliatory measures against the Anganwadis who are blocking the implementation of the election promises given by Jagan Reddy. Chandrababu Naidu criticized the YSRCP government’s use of its natural methods of harassment and factionalism on Anganwadis as proof of dictatorial tendencies. Instead of suppressing the protests and breaking the strike in an unethical manner, if that time had been spent on solving the problem, it would have already yielded results.

Chandrababu said : We demand that the Chief Minister should put aside his ego and focus on solving the problems of Anganwadis.
