Under Chandrababu’s government, Siemens and Designtech companies signed an agreement for Rs 3300 crores to provide skill development training to the youth in the state. An agreement was made that the government would fund 10 percent and Siemens would pay the remaining 90 percent. The Chandrababu government has paid Rs.370 crore including GST as 10 percent share on behalf of the state government. AP CID registered a case that out of Rs.370 crores paid by the government, Rs.240 crores were transferred to Designtech company instead of in the name of Siemens company. There are charges that the cabinet was misled and then put another one in the contract money. The CID, which has been investigating this deeply for some time, has also registered cases against many people. This matter was also brought to the notice of ED.
