Many of his films are the highest grosser. A film critic compared Ram Gopal Varma’s movie making style to that of Quentin Tarantino.

Ram Gopal Varma is one of the few directors who explored the concept of antihero and was completely successful.

We have seen Ram Gopal Varma films, and know of his talent. Ram Gopal Varma was an engineer before he became a director.  His recently released directorial and production venture Officer starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Myra Sareen, has turned out commercially flop at the box office.  But there is no denying that Ram Gopal Varma has done good work in past.

Ram Gopal Varma gave many biggest industry hits like Money and Gulabi in Tollywood  as producer. He  also gave 2 biggest industry hit in Tollywood- Shiva and Kshana Kshanam but after making Govinda Govinda, he got too much criticism. Then he got so angry and decided not to make any movies in Tollywood. He moved to Bollywood and gave surprise hit by Rangeela and later Sarkar.

Rangeela: The movie starring Aamir Khan, Jackie Shroff and Urmila Matondkar not only performed well at the box office but also received praises from critics. The music of the film was composed by music maestro A. R. Rahman. Not just the storyline but the song of this film was also instant  hit. The magiv Ram Gopal Varma created with Aamir and Urmila, is still discussed  in family conversations.   Rangeela was later remade in Hollywood with title Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!.

Sarkar: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan starrer film was premièred at the New York Asian Film Festival and was lauded by both audience and critics.

Satya: Ram Gopal Varma’s crime drama was the first film in gangster trilogy.  The movie starring Manoj Bajpayee, Urmila Matondkar and Shefali Shah, was made on shoestring budget but was huge hit at the box office. It is also called  the classic of 90s. Satya won several award and accolades.

 Company:   The movie starring Mohanlal, Ajay Devgan, Manisha Koirala, Vivek Oberoi, and Antara Mali in prominent roles, was released in 2002, was based on Mumbai underworld and became one of the highest grossing Bollywood films of that year.

Why so much trolling about Ram Gopal Varma..now a days?

It is all because of social media. Ram Gopal Varma used Twitter as weapon and made derogatory comments against many celebrities including Naga Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Sunny Leone, Chiranjeevi and others. Which revealed his real character.
