On one side, Jammu and Kashmir tensions continue to prevail in the country, the other side Pakistan is leaving no stone unturned to internationalize this issue. Though the scraping off of Article 370 and 35 (A) is India’s internal thing, Pak is in fear that India might attack its Pak occupied Kashmir at any time. Now, from the latest update, it is known that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has extended the tenure his Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa for three more years.
On digging to the details it was learned that Army General Chief was retained in the top military post referring to the regional security situation, Pak PM said. Onto his decision, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said that “General Qamar Javed Bajwa is appointed Chief of Army Staff for another term of three years from the date of completion of current tenure. The decision has been taken in view of the regional security environment”.
Critics airing their mind as Bajwa’s extensive experience in the affairs of Kashmir has got him as a favor to get an extension in his career.
