Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed on seaports, fishing harbours, fish-landing centres and MSMEs . He reviewed on the progress of Ramayapatnam port works. The details of the works were inquired from the officials. Officials said that the works of South Breakwater and North Breakwater have almost been completed. He said that the dredging and reclamation work will be completed by September. In the first phase of Ramayapatnam, four berths will be set up so that the target of 34 million metric tons of cargo per year is explained. Ultimately, the port is going to be built in Ramayapatnam with 19 berths and 138 million metric tons of cargo.

The total cost of construction of Ramayapatnam port is estimated at Rs 3,736 crores. In the review of the ports, the construction work of Machilipatnam port was mentioned. Officials said that four berths will be set up in the first phase,  so that 35 million metric tons of cargo will be transported under the first phase.

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the progress of port construction works at Mulpeta in Srikakulam district.  4 berths are going to be established in Moolpet port under the first phase. It is mentioned that the construction work of berths 1 and 2 is actively going on. 

Later, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the construction of fishing harbors. The details of the construction work of 10 fishing harbors were inquired. Officials said that the construction works of Uppada, Machilipatnam, Nizampatnam and Juvvaladinne fishing harbors which are being built in the first phase are being carried out. He said that in the first phase, all the fishing harbors will be completed by December.
