Performance: The movie banks a lot Samantha and her character based on a woman called Yashoda. And she pulls off a spectacular performance, the kind you might have seen from her in other films, but one that draws you in and keeps you hooked none-the-less. Her character Yashoda is emotional and it too makes you fall in love with her. We all know what a solid performer Samantha is but, in Yashoda as surrogate mother, she takes her acting prowess to another level. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays an important role and she has a crucial flashback. Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Sampath Raj and the remaining supporting cast shine in their roles, pouring life into their characters.

Technical:  The  makers need to be appreciated for producing a subject which is based on surrogacy mafia and it is high on content. The making, visuals, and BGM are major assets to the film  Yashoda which is gripping for the most part. The movie is high on technical aspects. The camerawork is one of the best in recent times. The action blocks are showcased superbly. The manner in which the production design is executed is just amazing. The dialogues by Pulagam Chinnarayana and Challa Bhagya Lakshmi are noteworthy.

Analysis: Samantha starrer Yashoda is based on surrogacy and the mafia behind it.   The action sequences and suspense factors are maintained effectively. The climax is a special aspect. Coming on the work of director Hari–Harish, they have worked hard on each aspect and has extracted superb performances from his cast which is perfect. The sensibilities of each character are brought out well .
