Efforts intensified to bring former Vijayawada MLA Vangaveeti Radha into YCP. Vangaveeti Radha re-entry campaign has been going on in Vijayawada for the past few days. Before that, it was spread that YCP was trying to get Radha’s sister Asha to contest from Vijayawada. Recently Radha is also said to be willing to join YCP. It is said that former minister and MLA Kodali Nani mediated.
They are trying hard to bring the son of Vangaveeti Ranga, who has an unshakable hold in the Kapus of the coastal districts, to the fold of the YCP. While the TDP-Janasena alliance is preparing to contest the elections along with the Kamma-Kapu social groups, the YCP has been trying for a few months to bring Radha, who belongs to the Vangaveeti family, to their side.
Until a few months before the 2019 elections, Vangaveeti Radha held the responsibilities of the YCP youth wing. Radha, who joined the YCP shortly after Jagan mohan Reddy founded the party, was entrusted with key responsibilities. After Radha’s defeat in the 2014 elections, he did not contest the elections in 2019.
Radha left the YCP at the instigation of a top police officer and a media company owner. After TDP won the election, there was a campaign that Radha would be given the post of MLC. After TDP’s defeat in the 2019 elections, he appeared on political platforms only on two or three occasions. A few months ago Vangaveeti Radha got married to a young lady from West Godavari.
Now a meaty update has come out as per political circles. YCP finalized the ticket Vangaveeti Radha would get. Once everything goes well a formal announcement might be made soon.
