Before her ceremonial revelation about her political entry and party on July 9th last year, Sharmila had applied for recognition of YSRTP with the Election Commission of India. But, ECI has to recognise her application yet. In this context, Sharmila became aggravated.
She said that she was deeply upset and suspected a conspiracy against her and her political ambitions. She added that she could not find why the ECI kept her application of recognition still pending. She has also issued a no objection certificate from her mother Vijayalakshmi to use YSR’s name in her party.
Sharmila is in a confused state of mind why ECI is not stepping forward to look after her application. On the flip side, the president of Anna YSR party Sheik Basha has raised protests, and filed a complaint against YSRTP in Delhi High Court and he also made a plea to the ECI not to recognise her party, as he opined that YSRTP would leads to indefinite bafflement among the public.
For the time being, YSRTP cadre are doubtful of receiving recognition and they are not able to consider with the idea of opposing against the ruling party without any cognizance.
