Supreme Court directed Centre to provide Z+ security cover to Indian business magnate, Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani and his family. The Z+ security will be accorded both in India and abroad. The court said that the industrialist Mukesh Ambani will bear all the expenses of these security arrangements within the territory of India or abroad.
A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Tuesday regarding the security of Mukesh Ambani’ family. A bench comprising Justices Krishna Murari and Ahsanuddin Amanullah said that the Maharashtra government and the Home Department should provide security to Ambani family in the country. The court also directed the Home Department to make security arrangements for them when they go abroad.
On the otherside, Reliance Industries Ltd is foraying into the commercial real estate sector with Reliance SOU Ltd. Mukesh Ambani’s company said that it has invested initial capital of Rs 1 lakh in newly launched subsidiary. New foray by the Reliance is yet another bet by conglomerate which has, recently, transformed from predominantly being energy player to more consumer focused business group.
