A big fallout for Nestle for printing Lord Jagannath image on KitKat wrapper

If we observe the KitKat wrapper, there is a printed picture of Lord Jgannath, Balabhadra, and Mata Subhadra on it. This devotional print on the wrapper, is not at all helpful for use and it will be thrown waste in to the dustbins, drains and etc, after eating the chocolate. This activity done by the company has hurted the religious sentiments of the people.

So, Nestle India is facing admonishments through social media platforms heavily, and they are solicited to obliterate those type of pictures on the wrappers.
Pointing towards the company, a user wrote on the Twitter, “All the multi-national companies in India, who have got right to make it Mazak of Hindu’s religious sentiment. Try it on some other religion and see, it would happen!! Like!! what happened…Ridiculous mindset (sic.”
Devotional pictures are meant for prayers with much dedication towards God, but not the things that sweep the road or sit in the dustbins badly. Likewise, many netizens have tweeted their personal opinions on the devotional printing, and slammed the Nestle company.
Reacting to the criticisms received, the company replied that KitKat travel break packs are meant to celebrate beautiful local destinations, and last year they wanted to celebrate the culture of Odisha with designs on packs representing ‘Pattachitra’, an art from uniquely identifiable by its clear imagery. They also expressed that they wanted to motivate people to get aware of art and its artisans.
They said that they understood the susceptibility of the matter and also told us to deplore, if they had hurted people’s sentiment unwittingly.
