Abhimanyudu 3 weeks CollectionsAbhimanyudu Collections: Vishal and Samantha Akkineni starrer Abhimanyudu, directed by PS Mithran and produced by Vishal Film Factory banner, has earned Rs 8.25 Cr shares at the box office of both Telugu States, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after the successful run of 3 weeks. Abhimanyudu is the dubbed version of Tamil movie Irumbu Thirai, which is the big hit at the box office. Arjuna Sarja played the antagonist in this techno thriller drama Abhimanyudu.

 Abhimanyudu competed with Raj Tarun and Amyra Dastur starrer Raju Gadu, and  Akkineni Nagarjuna and Myra Sareen starrer Officer at the box office.  But Vishal and Samantha starrer Abhimanyudu received positive talk from the Telugu audiences and the negative talk for Raju Gadu and Officer.

Vishal essays the role of an army officer who has anger management issues, whereas Samantha Akkineni plays Rathi Devi. Apart from the lead pair, Abhimanyudu has other stars like Delhi Ganesh, Robo Shankar, Suman, Vincent Asokan, Kaali Venkat, G Marimuthu, Kavithalaya Krishnan, Gemini Mani, Madhusudhan Rao and Mahanadi Shankar are seen in supporting roles.

The producers are happy that the Telugu version is also doing well like that of the Tamil version. Vishal, who is enjoying the success of Abhimanyudu, is now eager to come out with a sequel for the movie. Abhimanyudu is about hacking and the leak of information and based on issues surrounding the Aadhaar Data problems in the country. This is not the first time that Vishal had planned for a sequel to his movie. Previously, the actor had also promised a sequel to his movie Detective as well.
