Tamil actor Pandu,  who is one of the popular comedians of  Kollywood, passed away due to  Coronavirus, in a Chennai hospital. The actor took his last breath during the wee hours today due to covid complications without responding to treatment.  The comedian was 74.

He was  tested +ive for the Coronavirus some days ago along with his wife Kumudha who is still being treated for Covid-19.  The couple were admitted at a private hospital in Chennai for medical treatment. Kumudha continues to be in the ICU while her husband dies. They have 3 sons.

Pandu is the third celebrity of the Tamil film Industry to succumb to the Coronavirus in the last few weeks. Recently director Thamira and KV Anand had also taken their last breath due to Covid-19 complications.

Pandu was also a well known comedian in the Tamil Film  industry. Before joining show business, he was showing the interest in the  painting.  The comedian  played a vital role in designing the flag of AIADMK party, which was founded by MG Ramachandran – MGR.

Pandu made his  debut in the 1970s and he has worked with the top stars of the film industry such as MGR,  Sivaji Ganesan, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Vijay and Thala Ajith Kumar.
