Another case has been registered against TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, who is facing charges of irregularities in the skill development case, on charges of changing the alignment of the inner ring road.
On Monday, ACB filed a petition in Vijayawada court seeking a PT warrant to interrogate former CM Chandrababu Babu in the case of Inner Ring Road alignment irregularities in Amaravati.
Chandrababu Naidu, who was arrested in the Skill Development Corporation scam, is a remand prisoner in Rajamahendravaram Central Jail. The CID feels that there is a need to make an arrest in the case of irregularities in the alignment of the inner ring road. With full evidence in this case, FIR has been registered against Chandrababu, Narayana, Lokesh along with their benefactors Lingamaneni Ramesh, Lingamaneni Rajasekhar and RK Housing Corporation Director Anjini Kumar.
They have not been arrested in this case so far. In view of the latest developments, CID has decided that there is a need to arrest Chandrababu in this too. Chandrababu, who is already a remand prisoner, has decided to ask the court to consider Chandrababu as a remand prisoner in the Inner Ring Road scam case and filed a warrant.
If the court allows it, Chandrababu will be considered as being under judicial remand even in the case of Inner Ring Road irregularities.
The SIT is alleging that they made arbitrary changes in the alignment of the Inner Ring Road and committed irregularities. It is said that former CM Chandrababu, former ministers Lokesh and Ponguru Narayana together looted the assigned lands.
