Andhra Pradesh voters list draft has been released. State Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena released the draft list of voters on Friday evening. Later, he said that there is a possibility that the notification for the AP assembly elections will be received in March. According to the latest list, there are a total of 4,02,21,450 voters in the state. After making changes in this, a complete list of voters will be prepared by January 5, 2024. In the list of voters, steps have been taken to add new voters, delete the votes of the deceased and transfer the votes. The draft list of voters has been made available on the website of the Election Commission. If anyone has objections, they can inform it before December 9. The problems in the list will be resolved by December 26 and the final voter list will be announced on January 5 next year.
CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena said that around 10 lakh bogus votes have been eliminated in the state. The objections raised by the political parties have been examined. Objections are being considered on the basis of six points. He said that the process of removing fake votes is going on continuously. They said that they have noticed that Telangana and AP are voting in two places. He ordered to give them a chance only if they transfer their votes. However, in both the states, there is no software available to identify the right to vote. He said that only software is available to identify what is in the AP. Strict action will be taken if it comes to our notice that anyone has committed irregularities in the amendment of the voter list. Complaints made online will be responded to.
He said that the EVMs designed by Bhel Company have arrived and their performance will be examined in the presence of political parties.
