Late night hydra took place. Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, who left from Hyderabad to Vijayawada by road, was stopped by the police at every step from the AP border. Police set up barricades at Garikapadu checkpost near Jaggaiyapet to block Pawan Kalyan’s convoy.  The police lathi-charged them. Due to this incident, the traffic on Vijayawada-Hyderabad has come to a standstill. Pawan staged a protest on the road at Garikapadu. After that, Pawan walked a short distance ahead. With this, the police allowed Pawan to proceed in the vehicle.

Again, AP Police intercepted Pawan Kalyan’s vehicle near Anumanchipalli. With this, there was once again tension. Pawan Kalyan expressed extreme impatience with the police stopping him at every step. He expressed his anger that he needs a visa passport to come to AP. If you are going in a special plane, you are not allowed to board, if you are going in a car, you are not allowed. They don’t give permission even if they go on foot. They did the same in Visakha. As the situation became tense, the police took Pawan Kalyan and Janasena leader Nadendla Manohar into custody and shifted them away.

TDP leader Nara Lokesh came under fire after police stopped Janasena president Pawan Kalyan. This was stated through Twitter. I strongly condemn the police stopping Pawan. For no reason, the police blocked the road like rioters and prevented Pawan Kalyan from moving. Illegal detention of political leaders is unconstitutional. Democracy in the state has died due to the way the police are behaving. The situation is worse than an emergency. Nara Lokesh said in a tweet.
