The first list of candidates who will contest on behalf of BJP in the Telangana Assembly elections is likely to be announced on Friday evening. Telangana BJP president and all the key leaders have already settled in Delhi. It is said that 65 candidates are likely to be announced in the first list.
The selection of candidates was discussed in several stages in the party core committee meeting. On Thursday, the state core committee members met and discussed the selection of candidates at the party’s state election in-charge Prakash Javdekar’s residence.
Telangana State Party officials Tarun Chugh, Sunil Bansal, State President Kishan Reddy, Parliamentary Board Member K. Lakshman, National Vice President DK Aruna, General Secretary Bandi Sanjay, State Election Management Committee Chairman Etala Rajender and others participated in this meeting.
On this occasion, the main leaders of BJP discussed about the constituencies to be contested as well as the seats where more tickets are expected and the allocation of seats according to social groups. The members of the core committee met the party’s national president JP Nadda several times. On Thursday night, the core committee met again at Nadda’s residence. Amit Shah also attended this meeting.
After a meeting with BJP national president Nadda at 11 am on Friday, the final list will be prepared and sent to the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting on Friday evening. Prime Minister Modi, Nadda, Amit Shah, Laxman and other members will participate in the parliamentary board.
The final announcement will be made after discussing the selection of candidates from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Telangana in this meeting itself. It is possible that the first list of half of the candidates for Telangana will be announced before Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
