It is known that Central Government is taking steps to sell the Vizag Steel Plant. In this order, the Telangana government has decided to participate in the expression of interest bidding for the steel plant. In this context, Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay criticized Telangana Chief Minister KCR. He complained that the one who cannot pay the employees properly on the first date will participate in Vizag steel plant bidding. Bandi Sanjay criticized KCR for talking about the steel plant who could not fulfill any promise including loan waiver and unemployment benefits to farmers.
Bandi Sanjay challenged that KCR had boasted that he would set up Bayyaram Steel Factory and provide the jobs to 20 thousand people. He said the BRS chief KCR had spent taxes paid by people of Telangana to be distributed in Punjab. Now KCR wants to invest in a steel factory in AP. He alleged that thousands of crores of SSCL have been siphoned off, turning it into a loss-making entity; forcing SSCL to break its fixed bank reserves to meet salary bills. Besides, nearly 20,000 jobs were scrapped in SSCL. Yet KCR offered to field SSCL to bid for the Vizag Steel Plant.
