JP Nadda was out of danger. The Vinayaka Mandapa where he was worshiping in Pune caught fire. He was immediately taken away from there.

BJP National President JP Nadda was performing special pooja at a Vinayaka mandapam in Lokamanya Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra, when suddenly the mandapam set up on a temporary basis caught fire. It is believed that the accident was caused by the firing of firecrackers by BJP workers.

Eyewitnesses said that after the arrival of the party president, the BJP workers burst firecrackers on a large scale and the flames fell on the mandap and caught the upper part of the mandap on fire. At that time, BJP chief JP Nadda revealed that he was participating in special pujas in that mandapam. It was explained that immediately the police and local activists took him from there. Later, the fire was extinguished and no one was injured in the accident, he said. Along with JP Nadda, Maharashtra BJP President Chandra Shekhar Bhavankule was also there at that time.

The Vinayaka Mandapam was organized by Pune BJP President Dhiraj Ghate. The mandapam was modeled after the Mahakaleshwara temple in Ujjain this year. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited this mandap last week and offered special pooja to the deity.
