Controversy erupted during BJP Rajya Sabha member and former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar’s visit to Telangana. There were allegations that he had entered the famous Vemulawada Rajarajeswara Temple wearing shoes. In this regard, BRS supporters posted on social media. However, BJP sources clarified that there is no truth in that. In addition to sharing photos of Prakash Javadekar’s visit to the Vemulawada temple, they said that he was not wearing shoes.

Later, former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar along with BJP State President Bandi Sanjay and other local leaders visited Vemulawada Rajarajeswara Temple. However, Javadekar was criticized for entering the temple without removing his shoes. It was also reported that Javadekar removed his footwear only after being asked by the temple priest.
TSMDC Chairman Krishank posted some videos on his Twitter and criticized the BJP. “The priest asked BJP national leader Prakash Javadekar to remove his shoes near the sanctum sanctorum. BJP state president Bandi Sanjay prevented the media from recording.
Prakash Javadekar said it was clear that he had removed his shoes before entering the temple. BRS social media convenors were criticized as footwear checkers. But in the photo shared by the BJP leader, Prakash Javadekar is seen wearing socks.
