Minister KTR said BRS will not participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s Telangana tour. He expressed his anger against Narendra Modi for questioning the formation of Telangana and insulting the people of the state. BRS has decided not to participate in PM Modi’ function to lay the foundation stone of the railway manufacturing unit in Kazipet today.
The party’s working president KTR said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had insulted the people of the state by questioning the formation of Telangana. He said that the Prime Minister has been discriminating against Telangana since day one and has failed to fulfill the promises made to the state under the AP Repartition Act.
Last year, Modi laid the foundation stone for the coach factory in his hometown Dahod, Gujarat with an investment of Rs 20,000 cr. But when it comes to Telangana, KTR said that they are laying the foundation stone for the repair unit of the coach factory with just Rs 521 crores as promised under the AP Repartition Act. He criticized that this is nothing but discrimination and that the BJP government is reneging on the promises made to Telangana. While a public sector company has invested Rs 521 crore, Medha, a private company, has set up a coach factory in the state with an investment of Rs1,000 crore. KTR said that the people of Telangana will not fall victim to the cheap moves of the BJP, which claims to set up a railway unit.
Finally BRS in Telangana has announced a boycott of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official programmes.
