TDP chief Chandrababu on Wednesday wrote a letter to AP CS Jawahar Reddy on illegal sand mining. He reminded you that he had complained to you many times in the past about illegal sand mining in the state. Chandrababu Naidu accused that no action was taken on these complaints. In that letter, he mentioned that illegal sand mining is going on in Penna river of Peddappur mandal of Anantapur district. Chandrababu Naidu accused that a group of officials colluded with YSRCP leaders and engaged in illegal sand mining.
Chandrababu said that Jayaprakash Ventures is doing sand mining beyond the permission. Chandrababu reminded that an inquiry was also held in the High Court on illegal mining. Despite several orders from the National Green Tribunal and other courts, illegal sand mining has not been stopped. In the letter, Chandrababu stated that they are attacking those who are objecting to the sand mining going on against the rules.
TDP Supremo Chandrabbau Naidu criticized government departments and officials for failing to prevent irregularities. He said that normal sand mining is causing damage to the environment.
In that letter, Chandrababu asked CS Jawahar Reddy to immediately stop the illegal sand mining going on across the state.
