TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who was arrested in the skill development case, approached the Supreme Court. The High Court verdict on the Quash Petition was challenged in the Supreme Court. In a petition filed in the Supreme Court, Chandrababu’s lawyers claimed that 17(A) applies to Chandrababu. Chandrababu’s lawyers handed over a copy of the petition in the Supreme Court registry. It is reported that this petition is likely to be heard on Monday. However, Chandrababu had earlier approached the High Court to dismiss the cases registered against him. The High Court dismissed the quash petition saying that it cannot interfere while the investigation is at its final stage. The High Court accepted CID’s arguments that it was a misuse of funds with recommendations for release of funds to Siemens. The High Court judge opined that there is a need to discuss this matter with experts.

AP CID will interrogate Chandrababu Naidu in Rajahmundry Central Jail. CID officials reached Rajahmundry Central Jail before 9.30 am on Saturday. Later, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu was taken for medical examination. CID officials started investigation after medical examination. Senior advocate Dammalapathi Srinivas was allowed to conduct the trial. The authorities have prepared a room in Rajahmundry Central Jail for this investigation. The entire proceedings will be videotaped and submitted to the ACB court in a sealed cover. The ACB court ordered to take care that no photos and videos related to the investigation come out.
