CM Breakfast Scheme launched in Telangana, healthy breakfast for classes 1- 10 students

Ministers Sabita Indra Reddy, Harish Rao and Mahender Reddy launched the CM Breakfast Scheme in Telangana state on Friday. This breakfast scheme will be implemented for the students of class one to ten in government schools of the state. Students will be served breakfast half an hour before school starts. Ministers have launched this scheme for Ravirya in joint Rangareddy district.

Each day for six days a different type of menu will be provided to the students. The government has also given clear instructions as to which menu should be served on which day. Upma or Idli and Sambar will be served on Monday. Tamatabat or poori aloo curry is served on Tuesdays, kichidi or upma on Wednesdays, millet idli or sambar or pongal on Thursdays. Uggani or Millet Idli or Wheat Rava Kichidi will be served on Friday. Vegetable Polao or Pongal or Raita Aalu Curry will be served on Saturday.

The implementation of this scheme will save the state exchequer Rs 400 crores will be an additional burden. Recently, a similar scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Stalin. However, this scheme is being implemented in the state of Tamilnaduonly up to sixth standard. In Telangana, it has been decided to implement it up to tenth.
