Telangana State was formed in 2014. KCR took charge as the Chief Minister of Telangana State. KCR served as the CM of Telangana for two times in 2014 and 2018 elections. When KCR was CM, there was no situation where common people would go to Pragathi Bhavan. Barricades were also set up at Pragati Bhavan.

The barricades at Pragathi Bhavan were removed when Revanth Reddy took charge as Chief Minister. CM Revanth Reddy stated in his speech that orders have been issued to remove the barricades. Moreover, it is known that the name of Pragati Bhavan is being changed to Praja Bhavan.
