Congress party’s communication with BRS Narsapur MLA Madan Reddy is causing confusion. The Congress leaders entered the arena with the news that the Narsapur candidature is still not clear and Sunita is leaning towards Lakshmareddy.
Latest developments say that the sitting MLA Chilumula Madan Reddy from Narsapur constituency in Medak district has been sidelined. Politics is changing as the leadership is thinking of giving ticket to Vakiti Sunita Lakshma Reddy who joined BRS from Congress party. With BRS leaders almost deciding in favor of Sunita, the Congress party, which does not have a strong candidate in Narsapur, is in talks to induct Madan Reddy into their party.
Sunita Lakshma Reddy, who won as MLA from Narsapur in 1999, 2004, 2009 from Congress party, was defeated by Madan Reddy in 2014, 2018. After that, in April 2019, Losunita Lakshma Reddy performed the BRS Theertha. Along with him, many leaders of the main Congress party in Narsapur also joined the BRS.
These developments completely weakened the Congress party, even though it was a bastion in Narsapur. This time Patancheru Congress leader Gali Anil Kumar and Narsapur Congress leader Avula Raji Reddy are the only notable candidates for the party ticket. Party leaders say that no matter who contests between the two, the Congress party will not have much chance of victory.
Congress party cadre says that not giving BRS party ticket to Madan Reddy will be a boon for Congress party. Madan Reddy, who is doing well in the BRS cadre, has gained a reputation as a good leader in the constituency. If Madan Reddy joins the Congress party, the Congress cadre is sure to win this seat.
