BRS leader Dasari Lakshmareddy of Sangareddy district Zaheerabad was found dead on the railway tracks near Shankarpally station on the outskirts of the city on Friday. Railway police suspect that Lakshmareddy may have committed suicide. On the other hand, did someone kill him? Doubts are being expressed. Also, Lakshmareddy’s native village is Allipur under Zaheerabad of Sangareddy district. Lakshmareddy previously served as Chairman of Zaheerabad Market Committee.
The railway police said that the railway staff noticed an unidentified body lying on the train tracks near Shankarpally station. When the police examined the body, they found the car key there. It came to light that the car was parked outside the station using the key. So basically the dead body was identified as that of Dasari Lakshmareddy.
Later it was informed to his family members. His wife Anita told the police that he left home on Thursday night saying that he would come back soon. He has two daughters. They are married.
The last rites of Dasari Lakshmareddy were conducted in his hometown Allipur on Friday. MP Bibi Patil, MLA K Manik Rao, DCMS Chairperson M Sivakumar and others attended the final ceremony and visited Lakshmareddy’s family members.
