Delhi women death: A 20 years old woman, who was returning home during the wee hours of Sunday, was killed after her scooty was hit by a car and her body was dragged for around 18 to 20 kilometres and it lasted for about one and a half hours. The eyewitness said, ‘At first it seemed that there was a sound of tire burst, when seen from the front, a dead body was seen trapped under the car’. A food delivery executive has recounted the Delhi horror, claiming that he saw the accident at around 3:20 am. The eyewitness claims that he spotted the victim head hanging from rear tyre.
According to Police officials, there were five men in the car, who have been arrested. They have been identified as Deepak Khanna (26) Amit Khanna (25), Krishan (27), Mithun (26), and Manoj Mittal (27). Following the incident, the accused removed the woman’s body from under the vehicle and fled the spot. The naked body of the women was found in Delhi’s Kanjhawala. They have been booked for rash driving and causing death by the negligence and criminal conspiracy. Police are probing whether the accused knew the victim/woman was being dragged.
Police said the woman named Anjali Singh, was an event organizer and returning from work at the time.
