LB Nagar SOT police on Monday nabbed a gang that was bringing heroin from Rajasthan and selling it in envelope covers in Hyderabad. In another case, the police arrested a gang selling ganja.
Police have identified the ongoing sale of heroin in the city. Heroin brought from Rajasthan was found to be sold in small pockets and raids were conducted. A large quantity of drugs was seized from the accused.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner DS Chauhan held a press conference at LB Nagar CP office and disclosed the complete details of the case. According to Rachakonda Police Commissioner DS Chauhan, Banwar Lal, Vishnu and two other minors from Rajasthan formed a gang and first got addicted to drugs and started selling them.
They buy heroin from some known people in Rajasthan and use some for themselves and sell some to needy people. However, they have been selling heroin in Hyderabad for the past few days. The gang used bike services to transport heroin.
According to reliable information, LB Nagar SOT Inspector Sudhakar’s team arrested these four while selling heroin in MBR Colony, Mirpet. The police seized 80 grams of heroin worth Rs.50 lakh from them. Rachakonda Police Commissioner DS Chauhan said that the bike service providers will be advised not to use the bike services.
West Zone Task Force Police on Monday arrested two persons who were bringing ganja from Odisha and selling it in Hyderabad. According to DCP Nikita Pant, Saroj Kumar Das from Odisha is working as a manager in a hotel in Hi-Tech City.
Saroj Kumar Das had financial difficulties and started selling drugs along with his friend Syed Fayaz to earn easy money. They have planned to buy drugs at a low price in the state of Odisha and sell them at a high price in the city to earn money.
