 The number of people falling victim to online scams in the country is increasing alarmingly day by day. People are getting cheated by clicking on some link. A similar incident has recently taken place in Maharashtra. A person who was a victim of ‘Fasttag’ scam. He lost 2.4 lakhs.

A 47-year-old man from Nallasapora, Maharashtra tried to recharge his FASTag account. But something happened. How to solve that problem? While thinking that, he googled it online. A phone number was found there. He called that number and told about his FASTag problem. But then he could not realize that he was falling into the trap of scamsters.

FasTag recharge scam alert : “I am a call center employee. I will solve your problem. Just do as I say,” said the scamster who made the 47-year-old man download a remote access app. Everything is fine, isn’t it! Thinking, this man started doing as the person told him on the phone.

As soon as the app was downloaded, the scamster worked his hand. Within moments 47-year-old man lost 2.4 lakhs. This scamster stole all the money with 6 transactions. After that he hung up the phone immediately. Shocked by what happened, the victim realized that he had been cheated. He immediately approached the police. He told what happened to him and complained. The police have registered a case on the incident and are investigating. It is reported that the scamster has not been caught so far.
