An incident took place in Chennur of Mancharyala district where a Gurukula teacher was brutally murdered by fellow employees who were supposed to stand by each other in the performance of their duties. The teacher was upset because everyone was blaming her for the responsibility of mess in-charge in Gurukula’s school. She came out of the school and jumped into the nearby pond. Thirumaleshwari is working as a teacher at Chennuru Gurukula School. He came to Chennuru from Karimnagar Gurukula School on deputation four years ago. She is from Naspur of Manchiryala district and has husband Sampath and eleven year old daughter. Zonal level games competitions are going on in Chennuru Gurukula School. A committee has been appointed to take care of food arrangements for 1275 sportspersons and another hundred staff who came to participate in this. Thirumaleshwari is in charge of this committee and there are ten other members. Sampat said that she was looking after the responsibilities of the mess for four days.
In this order there was a delay in preparing tiffin and lunch on Monday. All the other teachers and staff blamed Tirumaleshwari. Offended by this incident, she left the school. After recording a voice message on her cell phone saying that she was harassed by five fellow teachers including the principal of Gurukula School, she committed suicide by jumping into a pond.
According to the police, a case has been registered against five persons on the complaint of her husband Sampath. Tirumaleshwari explained that the dead body was recovered and taken to the hospital for post-mortem.
