KCR unveiled the imposing 125-foot statue of Dr BR Ambedkar yesterday. However an interesting incident happened in this program. BR Ambedkar‘s grandson Prakash Ambedkar, who came as the chief guest along with CM KCR, inaugurated the statue.
On this occasion, CM KCR said that Ambedkar was a universal man and a beacon of hope for the downtrodden communities. He said that even after 70 years, the things mentioned in the constitution are not being implemented. CM KCR called for Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations to be followed every year.
CM KCR declared that the country’s tallest bronze statue of architect of Indian Constitution was not a “mere statue” but rather a “revolution” that would usher in change in the country.
KCR said that the state administration in this region has a secretariat, and it has also been named after Ambedkar. KCR said that every day.. Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs, MLCs and officers who come to the Secretariat should get inspired by seeing Ambedkar’s statue.
Minister Harish Rao, who was on the stage, wrote a note and gave it to CM KCR. This was written in the note. “This is not an idol, a revolution. It is not a symbol of shape.” CM KCR said that he was given a piece of paper by Minister Harish. These are the words of Minister Harish Rao from CM KCR’s mouth.
KCR said that untouchability can be removed only when there is economic equality and the Telangana government is working hard for the upliftment of Dalits and tribals. Telangana government has brought many schemes for Dalits and tribals. Minister Harish Rao said that today the whole country is looking towards Telangana.
