Vigorous or irritating exercise moves stomach acid toward the esophagus. This can lead to heartburn or irritation. Acidity or acid reflux can be a common problem for some people after exercise. But eating heavily before exercise can cause this. Now let’s know what to do to reduce this problem.

Avoid eating heavily before exercise: Eat only a light meal or snack before exercising. Because they help to keep your stomach light. Also experts say to take rest for at least 30 minutes to half an hour before starting exercise.

Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after exercise.  Because water helps to prevent acid reflux problems. Dehydration can increase acid reflux symptoms. So drink plenty of water and fluids.

Do not go to bed immediately: Stop lying down immediately after exercise. If you do this, you will get problems like heartburn and acid reflux. So sleep at least 30 minutes to an hour after exercise.

Baking soda: Baking soda also reduces acid reflux problems. For this, take some baking soda and mix it with water. It helps to neutralize stomach acids. Baking soda increases salt intake in your body. That is why it is better to consult a doctor before trying it.
