For the first time in its history, the Telangana High Court has issued a judgment  in Telugu in a dispute over a property between the two brothers, K Chandra Reddy and K Mutyam Reddy, who are sons of late Kaukuntla Veera Reddy, in Secunderabad. The judgment was welcomed by the former judge of the Joint High Court.

Last February, the Kerala High Court also issued a verdict in Malayalam. In this context, the Telangana High Court issued a 44-page judgment on Tuesday. Recently the Supreme Court has translated its important judgments into regional languages and put them online. That is why the Telangana High Court also took such a decision.

A High Court bench comprising Justice P  Naveen Rao and Justice Nagesh Bhimapaka issued its verdict separately in English and attached the Telugu version. It has been clarified that if there are any typographical errors in Telugu, they should be compared with the English version and if there is any confusion, the latter will be given preference. For the convenience of the parties, the judgment was pronounced in Telugu. The judges said that some English words were used in the Telugu version as they were widely used by the people of the state.
