Honor killing in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana has created a stir. He killed his own sister because he could not tolerate her being active on social media. Angered that her younger sister was often posting videos on social media despite being told not to, he killed her with a mortar and pestle. The incident took place on Monday in Rajivnagar, Illendu mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
Ajmira Sindhu and Ajmira Harilal are the sister and brothers. Their father died two years ago. Mother Ajmira Devi does labor. Locals say that there was a fight between brother Harilal and Sindhu on Monday morning in the matter of social media posts. The villagers say that Sindhu was seriously injured when her enraged brother attacked her with a mortar and she was immediately rushed to Khammam Government Hospital where she died in the night.
The villagers became suspicious of this incident and informed the police, and the truth came out.
Sindhu, who is an ANM apprentice in Mahabubabad, is active on social media. She often posts reels and videos. Harilal, who did not like this, often quarreled with her. On Monday night too, there was a clash between the two regarding this matter. Sindhu was seriously injured when Harilal took a mortar and hit her on the head.
Doctors said that the victim was rushed to Khammam hospital and her condition was critical. She died while being taken to Warangal for better treatment.
