BRS party, which wanted to establish its presence in AP too, was disappointed with the decision of the Central Election Commission. The Central Election Commission made changes in the identity of political parties across the country. In this order, the state party status was withdrawn from the BRS party in AP. 

In order to be recognized as a state party, it has to win at least 6 percent votes in the last election held in that state and 3 percent seats in the total assembly seats. Besides, he must have won at least one of the 25 MP seats. Party candidates should get at least 8 percent votes. 

According to this calculation,  BRS party did not contest even once in AP. That is why BRS did not get state party status in AP.  the EC announced that only in Telangana state party status is being given to BRS.

Further, the state party status of Rashtriya Lok Dal in Uttar Pradesh and RSP in West Bengal has been revoked. In addition, EC announced that the Voice of the People Party in Meghalaya, Tipra Mota Party in Tripura and Janashakti Party in Nagaland are recognized as state parties.  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been recognized as a national party.
