The series of suicides of IIT students in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana state, is causing a stir. Last month, Karthik, a student who left the campus and committed suicide on the Visakha beach, another student died on Monday. A student named Mamaitanayak, who was studying M.Tech in the IIT Hyderabad campus, committed suicide by hanging herself.
She hanged herself in her room in Hostel. She wrote a suicide note as if she was committing suicide because she could not bear the pressure of studies. The staff noticed this and immediately rushed her to Sangareddy Hospital. It was found that she was already dead. Her body was kept in the mortuary there.
Mamaita Nayak is a student from Odisha. After giving information to the parents, they rushed to Hyderabad from Odisha. First went to college and from there went to hospital. Since last August, 4 students have committed suicide in this campus. One committed suicide on August 31 and one on September 7.
And on the 15th of last month, a student named Karthik left the campus saying that he was going home. Four days later, he was found dead on Visakha Beach. He committed suicide and died. Recently, this series of suicides by Mamaita Naik is disturbing. Mamata Naik went to Odisha ten days ago. Unable to study, she decided to commit suicide. At first she tried to commit suicide by hanging herself. But when Chunni was cut off, she committed suicide by hanging herself with a wire.
