Days after Pakistan’ former PM Imran Khan was arrested by an anti-graft agency on corruption charges, the Islamabad High Court granted him bail for 2 weeks. This comes after the court ordered Imran Khan’s immediate release on Thursday, calling his arrest ‘illegal’ and ‘unlawful’.
Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan was inside the Islamabad High Court when the shooting took place outside. Islamabad Police said that the firing was real, but no one was injured in the incident. It is said that the police were fired upon in G-11 and G-13 sectors. The firing took place when Imran Khan, who attended the court for the hearing of several cases, was preparing to go back.
Alarmed by the firing, the police increased security at the court. After that the situation returned to normal. It is noteworthy that the firing took place after the High Court’s order not to arrest PTI chief Imran Khan, who is accused in various cases, till the 15th of this month. The court granted bail to Imran Khan from arrest in three cases of terrorism registered in Lahore and Zille Shah’s murder.
After getting bail from the Islamabad High Court, Imran Khan reached his residence at Zaman Park in Lahore. Former PM is accompanied by the large number of supporters and party workers.
