Is the name of Yadadri going to change to Yadagirigutta? The Congress government in Telangana, which has come to power, is strongly talking about thinking in that direction. It seems that the orders regarding the name change will also come soon.
After the formation of Telangana state, BRS Sarkar was formed for the first time in the state. KCR, who came to power, focused on the development of Yadagirigutta. In addition to creating a master plan, YTDA was also established. Special officers were appointed for this purpose. The government has completely rebuilt this temple with a cost of 1200 crore rupees. The reconstruction started in 2015 and was completed in 2022.
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, which was renovated at a cost of around Rs 1,800 cr, was opened on March 22, 2022. However, some devotees and pundits opposed the change of Yadagirigutta’s name to Yadadri, but government continued with the new name. After Congress government was formed in Telangana, it was decided to change the name of Yadadri back to Yadagirigutta.
