 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, who went to Delhi to participate in the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, met Home Minister Amit Shah there. The meeting was held on Sunday night around 10 pm. Although Jagan Mohan Reddy met the Home Minister at the inauguration of the Parliament building, he did not get a chance to meet him personally. 

The Chief Minister’s office said in a statement that many key issues related to Andhra Pradesh were discussed in this meeting. The Chief Minister’s Office said that the Chief Minister’s office has asked the Home Minister to see to the speedy approval of the revised estimates regarding the Polavaram project. CM Jagan also mentioned to Amit Shah the aspects of division of properties in Schedule 9 and 10 of the Partition Act, including AP Bhavan in Delhi.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy urged the Union Home Minister, the unresolved issues between AP and Telangana during bifurcation should be expedited.   CM also urged to endorse the revised estimates of Polavaram project and ensure Union Cabinet’ approval.

 Jagan Reddy  also highlighted the issue of outstanding electricity dues owed by Telangana government and he  urged for appropriate measures to clear pending payments.
