Chief Minister YS Jagan conducted a review on Education Department at his camp office in Tadepalli on Thursday. The CM discussed the implementation and progress of various programs in the education department. Officials revealed that 100 percent of children in primary education are in school. The CM reviewed the usage of the tabs given to the 8th class students and teachers. The CM ordered to prepare for giving the second installment of tabs this year. The CM also inquired about the preparation of students for the TOEFL exams. Officials said that they are training for three periods in a week for three days.
After that, the CM also conducted a review of our school’s day-to-day activities. On this occasion, CM Jagan said that after the coming of this government, special attention has been given to the food provided to the school children and money is being spent like never before. Quality should not be compromised under any circumstances. Special attention should be given to quality standards. CM Jagan ordered the officials to monitor the food provided to the children every day.
Officials explained that the work is being done actively on the second phase – today, and steps are being taken as per the instructions of the CM to set up two junior colleges in Pratimandalam, one of which is for girls. Out of 679 mandals in the state, 473 mandals have government girls and co-education colleges. Only two mandals do not have colleges for girls. There are no co-education junior colleges in 206 mandals. Officials explained that there are junior colleges for girls only and steps are being taken to convert the high schools there into junior colleges.
