Jayadev Galla made his mark in the opening hour of this day-long debate on no-confidence motion.
On Friday, TDP (Telugu Desam Party) launched the no-confidence motion against the NDA government in parliament. The Andhra party’s supremo, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, chose Jayadev Galla to launch the debate on the first no-confidence motion against the NDA government in the Lok Sabha today. The TDP has just 13 minutes allotted to take part in the debate. Jayadev Galla made his mark in the opening hour of this day-long debate. Jayadev Galla cited Mahesh Babu-starrer recently released Political drama ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’, in which an NRI son taking up the reigns of state following his father’s death. Jayadev Galla said the theme of the movie was ” Promise is a Promise, If a man makes a promise and doesn’t keep it he doesn’t have the right to call him self a man”. Everyone can easily conclude why Jayadev Galla referred to Koratala Siva’s directorial venture. After his speech, he told to the Lok Sabha Sumitra Majahan that he would need an additional 30 minutes.
Jayadev Galla made his political debut in 2014, though he won by a thumping majority from the Guntur constituency in Andhra Pradesh. He is a businessman and an industrialist. Jayadev Galla is also the boss of Amara Raja group of companies, set up by his NRI father who returned to India from the US three decades ago.
Jayadev Galla is from Chittoor and he is married to Padmavathi, daughter of superstar Krishna and sister of Mahesh Babu. The grand father of Jayadev Galla, Paturi Rajagopala Naidu was a freedom fighter and later a senior Congress leader. He was a mentor of Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu when he was a member of the Congress party. Jayadev Galla’s mother Aruna Kumari Galla is a former MLA from Chandragiri constituency and she was a minister in the AP state government for several years.
