The attack on a Dalit youth in Nandigama constituency of NTR district has led to political criticism. Out of caste arrogance, some youths attacked Dalit youth Kandru Shyam Kumar from Kanchikacharla Ambedkar Nagar in the worst manner. When he asked for water because he was thirsty, they poured urine on his face and treated him inhumanely. The TDP is making sensational allegations that Dalit Minister Adimulapu Suresh is trying to protect the accused who treated the Dalit youth inhumanly.
Condemning the incident of Kanchikacharla, Minister Adimulapu got serious with the leaders of the Telugu Desam Party. The minister said that the attack on Dalit youth Shyam Kumar was painful. The minister said that the police responded as soon as they received the information about the incident.
However, he said that the TDP leaders are trying to use the incident of attack on a Dalit youth for politics that’s why they are dragging his name in the middle. He said that they are spreading propaganda that the Dalit minister is trying to save the people who attacked the Dalit youth. The minister threw a primal challenge saying that he is ready for anything if it is proved that he really talked to the police.
The sources revealed that a Dalit youth named Shyam Kumar from Kanchikacharla Ambedkar Nagar had a dispute with a man named Harish Reddy. Harish Reddy kept this in his mind as there had been quarrels between them in the past. Inflamed with caste pride, he was ready to attack the Dalit youth. Harish called Shyam last Wednesday saying that he had something to talk about. Along with five other people, he took Shyam in a car and crushed him badly while driving him on the road. Driving the car towards Guntur, they snorted along the way.
Shyam Kumar asked for water to drink as his throat was dry and he could not bear the pain as he was crushed to the point of bleeding. They insulted him by throwing urine on his face when he wanted water. Harish Reddy tortured the Dalit youth by driving him around in the car all night.
