To begin disbursing crop investment support to farmers under the Rythu Bandhu scheme from the 28th of this month, chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao brought good news to farmers by instructing finance minister T. Harish Rao, as farmers prepare for the rabi harvest season.
KCR has asked the finance minister to deposit Rs 7,600 crore into bank farmers’ bank accounts with one crore or less by Sankranti. The chief minister wants disbursement of Rythu Bandhu funds to all farmers in no time, with no deductions. The government also claimed that the chief minister’s pro-agricultural visionary decisions positioned Telangana as the leader of the country in paddy production.
It also claimed that the Centre is attempting to cause hardship for the Telangana people withholding 40,000 crore in funds that are rightfully due to the state under different schemes and programmes. The TS government is committed to the farmers’ welfare and the development of the farming sector, inspite of the Centre’s obstacles.
