Nirmal district Khanapur MLA Rekha Naik lamented. She was unhappy as she was allotted a seat in the list of BRS candidates. Talking to the followers who came to meet her, she got emotional. In the background of the changed political situation, Rekha Naik took the path of Congress. Rekha Naik’s husband Shyam Naik joined Congress on Monday. TPCC President Revanth Reddy covered Shyam Naik with the Congress scarf. BRS chief KCR is unhappy that Rekha Naik’s name was not included in the first list of candidates announced on Monday. She is also ready to join the Congress.
BRS has decided to field Johnson Naik as Khanapur candidate in the next election. The name of Johnson Naik was announced, excluding Khanapur sitting MLA Rekha Naik. Johnson Naik from Metpally in Jagityala district is a class mate of Minister KTR. Both of them studied together in Hyderabad Nizam College.
Rekha Naik seems to have applied for Congress ticket. To this extent, Rekha Naik handed over the application for PA MLA ticket at Gandhi Bhavan. She broke down in tears while talking to the media in Khanapur. She said the people of the constituency are with her. She said that her life was dedicated to the people of Khanapur and she entered politics to serve the public.
