State BJP President and Union Minister Kishan Reddy said that the list of those who will contest on behalf of BJP in Telangana cannot be decided on the basis of family parties. He said that BRS is a family party and they cannot decide the fate of the candidates on the dining table. BJP candidates will be announced only after extensive discussion with the party ranks.
He made it clear that the BJP will contest alone in the 119 seats in the state in the upcoming assembly elections. He said that an election committee has already been formed for the selection of candidates, and after the meeting of the committee, a decision will be taken on the selection of candidates along with other issues.
Kishan Reddy said that on September 17, State Liberation Day will be organized in Telangana and different types of yatras will be undertaken with key leaders across the state. He said that in these yatras, the people will be brought together and discuss all matters by the constituencies of the Legislative Assembly.
In the wake of the Telangana Assembly elections, BRS has announced candidates for all but four seats. Congress Party Pradesh Election Committee has started filtering. BJP is hoping not to announce the list now. The national leadership of the party has already directed that all the key leaders of the Telangana BJP should contest the assembly elections.
