Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy resigned from BJP today. Ellundi Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy will join the Congress.
Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy sent the resignation letter to the BJP office. In his resignation letter, he mentioned the situation of the party. He said that till a year and a half ago, BJP emerged as an alternative to BRS in Telangana. He stated that the BJP has lost some ground in the developments that took place after that. Rajagopal Reddy believes that the people of Telangana want change.
Rajagopal Reddy made it clear that his goal is the same whether he joins the BJP then or joins the Congress today. Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy explained that his intention is to end the corrupt rule of the KCR family.
Rajagopal Reddy opined that there is strong opposition to BRS at the field level. Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy says that people are of the opinion that Congress is an alternative to BRS. Therefore, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy said that he has decided to act according to the thoughts of the people of Telangana. Rajagopal Reddy recalled that he contested as a BJP candidate and defeated the incumbent BRS in the Munugodu assembly by-election at the end of October last year.
Rajagopal Reddy alleged that BRS had used 100 MLAs and 100 other senior leaders in the campaign in the previous by-elections. He said that the political equations in the state have changed as the desire of the people of Telangana that the Center should take action against the corrupt KCR government has not been fulfilled.
Rajagopal Reddy stated that he has decided to join the Congress in accordance with the thoughts of the people of Telangana who want a change of power.
