Bhuvanagiri MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that there is no electricity supply anywhere for 24 hours for agriculture. He said that he is ready to prove this point.
Bhuvanagiri MP Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy spoke to the media in Nalgonda on Thursday. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that if he comes to Appajipet sub-station in Nalgonda mandal, he will prove that there is no 24-hour electricity supply to agriculture. He challenged Harish Rao to come and power minister Jagdish Reddy to come.
He expressed confidence that Congress government will come in Telangana after next three months. He said that there is no problem for the farmers under the Congress government. However, he asked them to buy electricity from other states at least for this one month and take steps to prevent farmers’ crops from drying up. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that electricity is not being supplied to agriculture for more than six to seven hours. Instead of criticizing the Congress party, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy suggested that the government should take measures to protect farmers’ crops.
Congress leaders are objecting to the propaganda of BRS leaders that Telangana is a state that provides electricity for 24 hours. BRS announcements regarding free electricity for agriculture are being criticized for not being practical. Telangana assembly elections will be held at the end of this year. This will lead to a war of words between Congress and BRS on the issue of free electricity supply to farmers.
